Jessica Philips

Owner of Sun Moon Studio of Sedona

Director of Sedona Dance Academy

At the tender age of 18, Jessica embarked on her first career as a professional ballet dancer with Ballet Arizona - despite all odds. For 10 accomplished and challenging years, she graced the stage as a corps de ballet, soloist, and ultimately principal dancer, performing in over 500 shows.

But Jessica's thirst for knowledge didn't stop at dance. Her fascination with health and nutrition led her to obtain certifications as a Holistic Health Coach and Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor.

After hanging up her tutu, Jessica decided to impart her passion for dance as an instructor and established Sun & Moon Studio of Sedona and Sedona Dance Academy in 2020.

Jessica's mission is to promote healthy movement by offering dance instruction to people of all ages and skill levels. But it's not just about dance for her - she wants to build a tight-knit community centered around movement and connection. And as a heart-centered businesswoman and dance teacher, she's found her second career to be beyond fulfilling.  She's incredibly grateful to be in her current position, sharing her love of dance and spreading joy everywhere she goes.

Teaches: Ballet, Pointe,  Dance Fitness, Yoga, Meditation.

Gwen was born in Italy, grew up in Tunisia, and attended boarding schools in Europe throughout high school before moving to the United States to attend Stanford University. She credits her diversity in cultural experiences as the most formative education of her life - one that provides her a unique breadth of vision and perspective upon which she draws on in her work today.

It was through her lifelong love of Yoga and Dance that she was able to understand the powerful and transformative effect that breath can provide. This, in turn, inspired her to become a Breathworker and Hypnotherapist in 2000 at the BodyMind Academy in Bellevue, Washington. She is an avid learner and has continued to hone her skills over the last 20 years with many certifications in a variety of disciplines.

As the founder of, “Breath is Prayer” and “Inspired Sedona”, she intuitively employs a combination of Breathwork, The Passion Test, Family Constellations, Hypnotherapy, Coaching, Yoga, and Dance to guide and support people in coming home to their true nature and remaining consciously connected to their essential truth. In her work with clients, she invites her clients to explore their inner landscapes, to step into their most authentic, empowered self and to choose a path that honors themselves

and their purpose.

Chris Browne.jpeg
Chris Browne is a massage therapist, writer, adventurer, and music aficionado. Born in Long Island, NY, Chris graduated with a BA in Philosophy before moving to Boulder, Colorado where he rock-climbed and snowboarded to his heart’s content while getting his massage license at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1999. He soon after moved to Portland, Oregon where he was immediately drawn to its vibrant and prolific ecstatic dance community. He became a guest DJ in 2003 and, after studying under Vinn Marti (founder of Soul Motion) and Gabrielle Roth (founder of Five Rhythms), in 2009 he joined forces with two others to host a weekly Wednesday night dance called Mindful Meltdown. DJ’ing for groups of 100-150 people, for 10 years Chris honed his skills, facilitating intentions and crafting musical soundscapes to take dancers on a seamless journey toward finding authentic purpose and healing through mindful movement.

As a teenager, Chris’s favorite gift to friends and family was a mixed cassette tape (later CD’s and playlists) of music curated specific for them. His love of sharing music has never wavered, and he still considers his audience every-time he composes a playlist, be it for a dance, party or ceremony. In 2007, Chris took a six-month solo journey around the globe, which also widened his scope to the beauty and vibrance of music in so many cultures, helping to infuse his playlists with an ever greater worldly infusion. Chris is currently authoring a book about this transformational journey.

In 2019 Chris moved to Arizona to be closer to family and bask in some much-needed solar healing. He works as a therapeutic bodyworker and has become the newest facilitator at Ecstatic Dance Sedona. His sets can be heard monthly on Sunday mornings at 11am.
